DAVID T BURGOYNE

David studied Art at Widey Technical College, Plymouth.

​

Moving to London in the early 90's to work as a hairstylist and make up artist with Toni & Guy, his professional career dramatically altered course after a fortuitous meeting with international dance music artist, Luciana.

​

His involvment with Luciana led him to picking up a camera and photographing many of  UK's leading DJ's and music artists.

 

David emigrated to Los Angeles in 2010 where he worked as an abstract artist. Until recently he shared a studio in downtown L.A. with his partner, ceramicist Jonn Coolidge. Collaborating and exhibiting together they were represented by distinguished showrooms in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York. 

 

David returned to Plymouth in late 2016 to care for his aging mother where he continues to paint his trademark works with simple bold colours and hard edges.
